Rufus B. Hatch Memorial Grassland

This parcel of land has never been plowed. It lies in the rich agricultural area of northeast Plymouth County, and only through the diligence of the Merle Treinen family and their ancestors has this area been kept from being plowed. While the above ground plants have changed due to it's grazing history, the soils profile of this 12 acre parcel has not been disturbed.

The Merle Treinen family donated this grassland to Plymouth County in 2005 to protect it for future generations.
