Trout Run Park




This 6-acre park is located on the east edge of Decorah on Hwy 9.  At this park, Trout Run Stream enters the Upper Iowa River.  Access to the river for fishing and canoeing are available here, as well as shelters for picnicking.  Trout Run Recreational Trail is accessible through the park. The park is also the home of a historic bowstring bridge, one of the largest bridges of its kind in Iowa.  The bridge is 156 feet in length and was constructed in 1879 by the Wrought Iron Bridge Company of Canton, Ohio.
