The Great Western Park, located on the south western edge of Manning, is run by the Carroll County Conservation Board. The original pond was recently restored and the whole park is continually being developed. The Great Western Park is located just south of Manning on County Road M66.
Features
There is a shelter house, modern restrooms, a playground, a shooting range, fishing, a walking trail, and camper parking with water and electrical hook-ups. The 12 acre, 14 ft. deep pond is equipped with a boat ramp.
Operating Hours & Seasons
The shelter is available year round. Camping season is mid-April through the end of October.
