Beaver Run Wildlife Area

Beaver Run Wildlife Area is located northeast of Mapleton along the county highway L-37. This area consists of 68.87 total acres. Of those acres, 62.5 acres were acquired from FMHA in 1995, and 3.74 acres were swapped for 10.11 acres in 1997. These acres were traded to make an access to the area. The area is seeded to native prairie with a hardwood timber stand on the south side of the property and a stream through the center that runs year round. This area has excellent wildlife hunting but requires a long walk from the parking lot to get to it.
